
The Wilmette-Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of their new Executive Director, Cathy Voight.
Cathy most recently served as the Executive Director for the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce in Chicago for the past seven years. Prior to that she worked in the hospitality business, holding positions at Marriott and Starbucks. A resident of Chicago, Cathy has worked previously in Wilmette where she was the Starbucks store manager at the Lake and Laramie location.
“We are so excited to welcome Cathy and watch her hit the ground running. She is uniquely qualified for the job, with a proven track record of 7 years experience as a chamber director and a background in hospitality.” said Charles Hutchinson, the chamber board’s president. “We were looking for someone who is a strong communicator, passionate about connecting businesses with the community and someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work. We believe we have found all those things in Cathy Voight.”
“I’m so excited to work with the Wilmette and Kenilworth businesses, building deep relationships and helping them thrive,” Voight said. “I’m looking forward to serving the membership and helping them grow their businesses. I love collaborating on innovative ideas like events, promotions and many other creative ways to promote local businesses. I find it to be fun and rewarding.”
Cathy officially begins her new duties on May 11.
